Terms of Service
Effective date: 24 February 2026
Governing law: England & Wales · Applicable worldwide
1. Agreement to Terms
By accessing or using AiCE (AI Continuous Education) at aicecredits.com ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"), our Privacy Policy, and our Cookie Policy. If you do not agree, you must discontinue use immediately.
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User", "you") and AiCE Credits ("AiCE", "we", "us", "our").
2. Description of Service
AiCE is an AI-powered CPD register providing CPD courses across multiple professions. The Platform uses artificial intelligence to evaluate educational content, generate assessments, and issue AICE Points as a measure of verified learning time and complexity.
Important Disclaimer
AICE does not issue CPD, CME, or CE credits. AICE Points and CPD/CME hour equivalence are provided as transparent, AI-verified reference measures only. Acceptance of these measures is at the sole discretion of local regulators, professional bodies, and employers.
3. Eligibility & Account Registration
- You must be at least 16 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your jurisdiction)
- You must provide accurate, complete, and current registration information
- You are responsible for all activity under your account and for maintaining credential security
- One natural person may not maintain more than one account
- Organisational accounts must be created by an authorised representative
4. Acceptable Use Policy
You agree not to:
- Submit false, misleading, plagiarised, or fraudulent content for evaluation
- Attempt to manipulate assessment results, AICE Point calculations, or AI outputs
- Use the Platform for any purpose that is unlawful or prohibited by these Terms
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or interfere with the Platform's AI systems or infrastructure
- Scrape, crawl, or harvest data from the Platform without written permission
- Share, resell, or redistribute certificates or credentials fraudulently
- Upload content that is harmful, defamatory, obscene, or violates third-party intellectual property rights
- Use automated systems (bots, scripts) to access the Platform without prior authorisation
- Impersonate another person or entity
- Attempt to circumvent security measures, rate limits, or access controls
Violation of this policy may result in immediate account suspension or termination.
5. Content & Intellectual Property
5.1 Your Content
You retain full ownership of content you upload. By submitting content for evaluation, you grant AiCE a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to process, analyse, store, and display that content solely for the purpose of providing our services. This licence terminates when you delete your content (except where retention is required by law or for certificate verification).
5.2 Platform Content
All Platform materials — including AI-generated courses, assessments, scoring algorithms, branding, software, and documentation — are owned by AiCE or its licensors and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without written consent.
5.3 Feedback
Any feedback, suggestions, or ideas you provide may be used by AiCE without obligation or compensation.
6. AI-Generated Content & Outputs
Courses, assessments, and evaluations generated by our AI are provided for educational purposes. While we strive for accuracy, AI outputs may contain errors or reflect limitations of the underlying models. You should not rely solely on AI-generated content for critical professional decisions without independent verification.
7. Certificates & Verification
- Certificates are issued based on AI-evaluated assessment performance and represent verified learning engagement
- Certificate authenticity can be verified via our public verification registry
- Ledger-attested certificates record a verification hash (not personal data) on a distributed ledger for tamper-proof verification
- AiCE reserves the right to revoke certificates obtained through fraud, misconduct, or terms violation
- Certificates remain in the public registry even after account deletion
8. Payments, Credits & Refunds
- Certain features require AICE credits, available for purchase or employer allocation
- All payments are processed securely via Stripe (PCI DSS compliant)
- Prices are displayed in your local currency where available and include applicable taxes
- Credits are non-refundable once used for content evaluation or assessment generation
- Unused credits may be refunded within 14 days of purchase in accordance with your jurisdiction's consumer protection laws (e.g., EU Consumer Rights Directive)
- Subscriptions may be cancelled at any time; access continues until the end of the billing period
9. API & Integration Use
Organisations using the AiCE API are subject to rate limits, usage quotas, and the API-specific terms available in our developer documentation. API keys are confidential, must not be embedded in client-side code, and must not be shared publicly. Misuse of API access may result in key revocation.
10. Third-Party Services
The Platform may integrate with or link to third-party services (including ChatGPT, payment processors, and identity verification providers). These services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. AiCE is not responsible for the practices of third parties.
11. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT:
- The Platform will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free
- AI evaluations will be accepted by any specific regulatory body, employer, or institution
- AICE Points or equivalence hours will satisfy any particular professional development requirement
- Content generated by AI will be free from errors or omissions
12. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, AICE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR PROFESSIONAL OPPORTUNITY, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE PLATFORM.
OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING FROM THESE TERMS SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO AICE IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless AiCE, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your (a) use of the Platform, (b) violation of these Terms, or (c) infringement of any third-party rights.
14. Termination
- You may delete your account at any time via account settings or by contacting support
- We may suspend or terminate your account with notice if you breach these Terms
- We may terminate or modify services with 30 days' notice for non-breach reasons
- Upon termination: your access ceases, but certificates remain in the public verification registry, and data is handled per our Privacy Policy
15. Dispute Resolution
15.1 Informal Resolution
Before filing a formal claim, you agree to contact us at legal@aicecredits.com and attempt to resolve the dispute informally within 30 days.
15.2 Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, except where consumer protection laws in your jurisdiction grant you the right to bring proceedings locally.
15.3 EU/EEA Consumer Rights
If you are a consumer in the EU/EEA, you may also use the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/odr.
16. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

We may update these Terms periodically. Material changes will be communicated via email and a prominent notice on the Platform at least 30 days before taking effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
